Switch-Out!
Florence, Fortezza da Basso, 25th to 28th of october

Amongst the events scheduled for the Festival della Creatività will be SwitchOut! The four day program presented by Switch - Social Creative Network will include live performances, workshops and discussion panels relating to the new expressive forms arising in the tecnological and digital arts field. The various activities will address subjects as procedural art, collective improv, sound design, surround mixing and more. The setting will be redisigned using recycled materials and will host installations concerning multimedia enviroment interaction, sound perception and ecology.

Thursday october 25th
the performance space will feature Obsil, a live electronics and piano project by senese composer Giulio Aldinucci, followed by electroacustic improv trio Luccicanza (cello, sax and live electronics). Special guest from Chicago Jason Ajemian (Chicago Underground, Exploding Star Orchestra) will direct an orchestra of local jazz cats in a performance of Who Cares How Long You Sink. The show will be accompanied by visual work by Influx and Fondazione Studio Marangoni.

Friday october 26th childhood
objects and female allure will mix during the evening, starting with circuit bender Mirko Sabatini and continuing with duo My Toys Like Me from London, featuring vocals by Frances Noon and electro beats by Lazlo Legezer. Following local upstarts Metuo will take the stage to surprise the unaware, and Berlin resident - China conquering frau Ninca Leece will kiss all good night. Visuals by Blanche and Pornorobotz.

Saturday october 27th
Local heroes showcase starts with indie-electronica trio Marvin exibiting Morr Music like songs built through laptop processing of voice, clarinet, guitar and bass. Telematik Guru carries on into a spacy audio/video enviroment woven with laptops, synths, drum machines, guitar and violin and Virgola Mobile shakes out hip hop cuts and processed flute whirls.

Sunday october 28th
Closing night dedicated to the world of sound design and field recordings. In Tangerine Theatre the actors improvise reacting to an interactive audio/video scenography controlled by the pubblic. The Istituto Italiano Tecnologie applicate alla Musica (IITM) will present Impronte Sonore, a work based upon the hidden traces and memories of sound. Sound designers SheSound and video maker Fabio Iaci will perform the live set Urban Media SoundScapes, serching for deeper unity between sound and image. To end Berlin based field recording bohemian Rinus Van Alebeek will share his suitcase packed with minitapes with the most daring in the audience.
